The European Centre for the Rights of Children with Disabilities (CEDCD) launches starting from November 25th to December 3rd an online information campaign – R.E.P.E.R.E – Respect, Equity, Potential, Evolution, Recognition, Equality.

On Thursday, December 3rd 2015 we celebrate together the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This year we wish to create online an informational and knowledge point between 2 worlds apparently separated, that in reality have a common purpose: The Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The two dimensions that we want to bring together trough communication are on one side: the international bodies working for the rights of children and adults with disabilities to become effective, and on the other side: persons with disabilities, the children with disabilities and their parents.

This year we have in mind to present to the parents of the children with disabilities, children with disabilities and to all that wish to contribute to the promotion of their rights, a series of fundamental markers that international bodies have elaborated so that these rights of children with disabilities can become effective in Romania.

From the technical documents with a legal profile, we will provide every day essential and present posts, applicable to the children with disabilities, gathered from:

  • Recommendations from the United Nations Rapporteur in Romania
  • Country Reports
  • Position Papers
  • UN Resolutions

Those will be available daily, on CEDCD Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CEDCD.org/) in posts named REPERE.

Having daily and correct information about the way things should be working in Romania regarding the rights of children with disabilities, every one of us can contribute to the promotion of these rights.

On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we come to you with R.E.P.E.R.E.
